Lunch: soba noodles with cabbage, carrot, oyster sauce

Courgettes with barberries, sumac, pine kernels

Nice but I think I put in too much lemon juice.

Pork fillet, marinated and griled; quinoa with broad beans, watercress

Orange and cardamom ice cream,

2 eggs, 3 caradom pods, 2 tbs sugar(?), zest of 1.5 oranges, 7floz double cream (about). Made custard and left falours to infuse, then strained it. Added enough 0-fat yoghurt to make 15floz (4-5 floz). The mixture appeared to stick in the maker quite early so I threw in alittle Cointreau, then it didn't set so maybe I should have left it alone. I turfed it out and left in freexer a couple of hours, it was still a bit soft but ok. Good flavour. Made syrp out of the orange juuse and rest of the zest, and 2-3 tbs sugar, also some orgae flower water, strined this too. Toasted hazlenuts with a bit of sugar

Then we went to Rob's party and ate a lot of nice nibbles

Salad of boring lettuce, chilli mayo; quinoa with peas, fried squash and smoked bacon, red onion, lime, chilli

Somehow all this took about an hour to cook

the lime zest was supposed to be candied but i let the water boil dry..

Mushroom lasange, RWS salad

apricot ice cream, griled apricots, amaretti

2 eggs, 5flz cream 2 tbs sugar. 4 med apricots poched with 2tbs(?) sugar. The pureed. This stil wasnt sweet enough so 1-2 more tbs sugar, and 1 slug apricot brnady. Doesn set in the machine, tipped into freeze about 1-2 hours to go, then it was firm enogh. goes light and fluffy (custard set firm in the fridge). This was very good.
