Lunch: Michael, Mark, Mary, Matthias, Alan, Richard, Michael Usual work party. Rain was forecast but we had a nice sunny afternoon at least until 5pm Baba Ganoush, Dill bread Barbecued Chicken thighs, beef kebabs, courgettes in ricotta, lemon, mint; sweet potatoes, roasted peppers in tomato-chilli-cilantro; bulghar pilaff with barberries; fouls I did 12 chicken thighs, marinated in honey and lavender which was a bit pointless as they all get kizzened on the bbq. I did 12 mince kebabs made from 750g mince. These worked. 3 sweet potatoes and 3 peppers - most of this went; 5 courgettes and a tub of ricotta (some left); 12oz dried weight fouls (some left); forgot how much bulghar - probably 12oz. brownies, flapjacks, choc cake, carrot cake (Mark and Mary, Alan, Michael, Michael) Dinner: courgettes and bulghar |

feta scones; pak choi in lemon and oil; bulghar leftovers with pine kernels I used 4oz flour for the scones. Colin was mystified at them: are the muffins? crumpets? before finally trying "scones", which he said was what he thought first, but thought they couldn't possibly be scones. choc cake, strawbs in black pepper |
