Dinner: Roast mushrooms and celeriac wedges, borlotti beans with porcini/garlic puree; experimental bread

bread was 5 oz flour and 10 floz water; baked in the square tin. works, but maybe better to make it a bit less wet and more of it (as I've done before)

Lunch: Ate outpizza in Stratford, then a long ride home

Dinner: Guinea fowl with couscous, saffron, sundried tomatoes; roast potatoes, carrots

vine leaves stuffed with guinea fowl and walnuts, bulghar

didn't quite work - the parcels also had the remains of the couscous stuffing, which went a bit soggy

sort of pizza with roast onions and squash (with chilli, rosemary), bacon, cream+lemon+yog; chard in olive oil.

lemon curd ice cream

I made the curd with 2 lemons, 2 eggs, zest of 1 lemon ('cos Colin had used the zest of one), not a huge amount of butter, 4-5 tbs sugar then 1tbs honey went in. Some cream but less than 5floz. Oh and some of the dreaded limoncello, It didn't really set enough, but fantastically lemony (Colin says very Traceyish)

this was the week it was summer, we went for a nearly 2 hour mtb ride after dinner. we were both defeated by nemesis but we did other stuff fine. everything's different because of all the rain

The Falcon, Painswick, rode there with Ivan. Ivan describes our riding style as "relentless"

Dinner: Ivan and Chris

Ivan brought a 2004 Hermitage

Scallops, quinoa with lemon, chilli, mint; chargrilled peppers

Roast pork loin, chanterelle sauce, roast squash, pak choi, kalonji bread

Lavender and honey ice cream, apricots, pine kernels

this didn't set enough - Ivan says the honey does that

Tunworth ragstone, cotherstone amd three Ivan brought

Sunday 29.7

Lunch: salad of watercress, 5-spice steak, chicory, potatoes in wasabi mayo

Dinner: butter beans, parma ham, porcini, and a puffball; griled leeks, potatoes

we found the puffball on Cleeve Hill
